Rick & Karen Clements moved to the Fountain Valley area in 2006 and began attending Widefield Community Bible Church. I was a Volunteer Chaplain with Transport for Christ, leading drivers and other travelers to Jesus Christ and leading them to grow in their faith. God called me away from that ministry. I have been growing in my relationship with Jesus Christ. God lead me to become an elder at WCBC to serve our congregation. We have three daughters; we have 9 grandchildren and one great grandson. We both like traveling, golfing and being with family. Rick likes to teach, fish, cook, and garden, and Karen enjoys sewing and doing crafts.
Chalmer was born in St. Louis, Missouri a long time ago and born again about 71 years ago as he was preparing to enter college. This event was used by God to direct his life and career and his commitment to serve Christ for life. After college, Chalmer worked for the government and a few years in the Army. He met his wife during my military service and after discharge moved to Colorado Springs where their relationship with the Bible Church ministry began. In 1980, they connected with WCBC. During his time here, he served in just about every part of the ministry including his present time as an elder. His marriage resulted in five children, two girls and three boys, and they in turn gave him twelve grand children.
Jesse recently retired from the Colorado Army National Guard with 35 years of service. He started his service in the Field Artillery, known as the King of Battle and finished as a Chaplain, serving the King of Kings. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University in Business Administration and a Master of Divinity from Denver Seminary. He received ordination through the Conservative Baptist Association. Jesse enjoys teaching children, sharing his faith, mentoring and reading.
Even with the Army life behind him, he strives to work out to keep his temple in good working order. Mary has spent most of her life passionately homeschooling their two children, David and Joy! In addition to maintaining the household and practicing hospitality, Mary dedicates her time to prayer and the study of Bible Prophecy. She’s known for saying, “Jesus is coming back soon!” David is serving in a pastoral internship at Bethel Baptist Church of Scottsbluff, NE and Joy is living her dream working as a Wrangler and Cook at Deer Valley Ranch near Buena Vista, CO.
Rob Gibson has worked with youth in various capacities (Youth Group, Camp Ministry, Sunday School, Football Coach) over the last twenty years. Rob has been richly blessed with an amazing wife and two wonderful kids. He is excited to be leading the youth here at WCBC. His prayer is that the youth of our church would grow and be strengthened in their walk with the LORD and that they would have an amazing impact on their world.
